When it first came out on the Playstation Premier Manager 98 proved to be a great hit as it shot straight to number 1 in the charts. Premier Manager 99 is the sequel to that great hit and has already followed it to the top of the charts, there is one main reason for the success of the game...It's great!
You can pick any team from the four English divisions and now any team from the two Italian divisions aswell, then as manager you try to do the best you can to get them promoted or make them champions, while winning any cups or tournaments on the way.
The in match graphics are viewed using Actua Soccer 2 engine, and you are given the option to view the match highlights like this, or watch a little match report as the action is happening. The whole game is very accurate and the statistics are very up to date, and everything that needs to be done in a managers job is here.
Improvements on the original include being able to update your stadium and being able to choose the sponsor you want your team to have.
I think Premier Manager 99 is one of the best manager games I have played, and it is by far the best option for playstation owners who are in to their managing.
